Iowa man nabbed for swath of sex crimes

GLENWOOD – An Iowa man is facing the possibility of serious jail time after police say he sexually abused multiple victims over the years.

Fremont County Sheriff Kevin Aistrope reports that deputies recently arrested Joshua Lynn Martin, age 43, of Glenwood, Iowa, formerly of Riverton, Iowa, on the following charges:

1. 10 counts of Sexual Abuse 2nd Degree on a victim less than 12 years old, Class B felony

2. 5 counts of Sexual Abuse 3rd Degree, Class C Felony

3. 10 counts of Incest, Class D Felony

4. 1 count of Invasion of Privacy, Serious Misdemeanor

In august of 2024, Fremont County Deputies recieved a report of sexual abuse that occurred beginning in 2015. During the course of the investigation, deputies discovered evidence of sexual abuse against multiple victims. A warrant was issued for Martin, and he turned himself in to the authorities in Fremont County.

More charges are pending in the case.

Martin is being held without bond, pending initial appearance with the Fremont County Magistrate.
