MITCHELL COUNTY – A death occurred Wednesday evening in Mitchell county when a tractor entered a ditch.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place Wednesday night, June 30, 2021 at about 8:04 PM, on State Line Road west of Dancer Avenue, which is near the Minnesota border. A John Deere tractor was westbound on State Line Road, just west of Dancer Avenue, when the operator lost control, the Patrol says. The tractor then entered the ditch and rolled.
As a result of the incident, one person died. Robert Grundel, age 42 of Saint Ansgar, Iowa was listed as the victim.
Assisting the Iowa State Patrol was the Mitchell County Sheriff’s Office, Mitchell County EMS, Mower County, Minnesota Sheriff’s Office and the Lyle, Minnesota Fire Department.
Westbound at 8:04PM. I’m guessing a pair of sunglasses might have save a life if he/she had been wearing a pair. But I don’t have the details so this was just a wild guess.
