Planned Parenthood of the Heartland announced Thursday that it will close its Fort Dodge, Ankeny, Mount Pleasant and Washington facilities in Iowa.
The health centers will be closed by December 12, 2013.
None of the four centers being closed offer abortion services, only referrals for that service. Planned Parenthood indicated it is re-allocating its services to other areas.
In an another announcement from Planned Parenthood of the Heartland, the organization will be hosting a “sex trivia” party at a Lincoln, Nebraska bar next week.
“Test your knowledge of anatomy, sex, relationships and reproductive health at our inaugural Sex Trivia Night: What they didn’t teach you in school. Compete for prizes and bragging rights while enjoying drinks,” the organization announced on its Facebook page.
