MASON CITY – At approximately 3:30 p.m. Thursday, a two vehicle accident with injury was called into the Mason City Police Department and Mason City Fire Department.
The accident occurred at 14th Street and South Kentucky. One vehicle struck an Alliant pole and Alliant was called to the scene.
“This is the first accident I’ve been in since I was sixteen,” said the male driver of the minivan. “It’s funny how things fly. My sisters glasses ended up in the back and mine were at my feet in front.”
Nobody was seriously hurt, but the female passenger of the minivan was taken to Mercy Medical Hospital by ambulance. “I finally got my sister talked into going to get checked out. We hit the pole when the other vehicle hit us.”
A family from Franklin county was in the red Jeep.

At approxiamently 4:00 p.m., a report of a two vehicle accident was reported at the intersection of Highway 122 and Kentucky. No Injuries were reported.
