CLARKSVILLE – A wanted Iowa woman was caught Friday by police in Clarksville with meth and other drug items.
On March 12, 2021, the Clarksville Police arrested Anne Harrington, age 40 of Iowa Falls, for an active Franklin County warrant. During the arrest, officers interviewed Harrington and Harrington admitted to having methamphetamine on the inside of her pants leg. Harrington was then transported to the Butler County Sheriff’s Office where she was dressed out and the methamphetamine was located. Subsequently, a search warrant was applied for and executed on the bags Harrington had with her during the arrest. During the execution of the search warrant, officers located methamphetamine, marijuana, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. Harrington was booked in the Butler County jail and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine Enhanced – Class D Felony, Possession of Marijuana Enhanced – Class D Felony, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia – Simple Misdemeanor. Both enhanced charges were due to prior possession of controlled substance convictions.
Harrington awaits her initial court appearance.
