FOREST CITY — Donald Erickson, 87, of Forest City, passed away Friday, September 4, 2026.
A visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, at Schott Funeral Home, 505 North Clark Street in Forest City.
A celebration of Donald’s life will follow at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
Donald spent his life with strong ties to Forest City and Winnebago County, leaving behind family members, friends and others throughout the community who will remember the years and experiences they shared with him.
His life spanned more than eight decades, from 1938 to 2026, and his passing marks the loss of another member of a generation that helped shape families and communities throughout North Iowa.
Family and friends will have the opportunity Saturday morning to gather, share memories and celebrate Donald’s life before the 11 a.m. service.
