STACYVILLE — Holly Jo Kruse, 44, of Stacyville, died Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home.
Burial will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 12, at Osage Cemetery. A celebration of Holly’s life will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, September 13, at The Old County Seat in Mitchell.
Instead of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be directed to the family to help create a memorial honoring Holly.
Born April 8, 1982, in Osage, Holly was the daughter of Gregory and Melinda North Faas. She graduated from Osage High School in 2001.
Holly married Timothy Kruse on October 19, 2002, at the Methodist Church in Osage. Together they raised three sons and built a life filled with family, friendships and memorable adventures.
Holly devoted many years to staying home and raising her boys. She also operated an in-home daycare, where her caring nature earned her the affectionate description of “mother hen.” More recently, she worked as a cashier at K&N Mini Mart.
The outdoors brought Holly tremendous happiness. She loved camping, boating, snowmobiling and traveling to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. She and Tim belonged to the Easy Riders Snowmobile Club.
Whether riding side-by-sides, getting muddy, gathering around a bonfire or swapping stories with friends, Holly embraced opportunities to enjoy life. Her outgoing personality helped her form friendships wherever she went, but time spent with her family remained most precious.
Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Timothy Kruse of Stacyville; her parents, Gregory and Melinda Faas; sons Jayden Kruse and Selena Tank of New Hampton, Jesse Kruse of Stacyville, and Jaret Kruse and Rachel Krieger of Quincy, Ohio; brother Jacob and DeAnna Faas of Stacyville; nieces and nephews Alexander, Abigail, Annabella, Kayden and Idamae; father-in-law James Kruse; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Roger and MaryAnn Schnell; paternal grandparents, Sylvan and Virginia Faas; and several aunts and uncles.
