AMES – Iowa State dropped a home non-conference game Wednesday night to the Jackrabbits of South Dakota State, 71-68.
Iowa State was led by Solomon Young’s 24 points. Iowa State trailed by 12 points at halftime as they struggled with 40% shooting while SDSU shot 60%. Iowa State got within 1 point with a few seconds left, but SDSU iced the game from the free throw line.
Guard Noah Friedel led South Dakota State to the win with his 23 points.
