MASON CITY — Amy Lorraine Shepherd, a longtime Mason City resident remembered by family and friends for her love of animals and devotion to family, passed away Friday, May 8, 2026, at her home. She was 69.
According to information released through Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, funeral services for Shepherd will be held Thursday, May 14, at the funeral home. Visitation is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m., with funeral services following at 1:30 p.m.
Shepherd was born July 17, 1956. She was preceded in death by her husband, Merlin Shepherd, along with several family members.
She is survived by siblings David Peterson, Gerald “Willy” Franz Jr., and Cindy Barron, as well as nieces Libby and Mindy.
