WAVERLY – A northern Iowa man was arrested after authorities searching for stolen property at a Bremer County residence allegedly found evidence tied to methamphetamine use.
The search happened on May 16, 2026, at 1093 220th Street in Bremer County, according to the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office. Authorities said the Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was assisting the Butler County Sheriff’s Office with the execution of a search warrant for stolen property at the address.
During the search, deputies located evidence of methamphetamine use, according to the sheriff’s office. Bremer County authorities then obtained an additional search warrant for the premises.
That second search led investigators to numerous items allegedly connected to methamphetamine use, authorities said.
As a result, Nathan Robert Frisch, 47, of Waverly, was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of prescription drugs, keeping premises for controlled substance violations and gathering where controlled substances are used.
Authorities said stolen items were also located on the property.
Frisch (pictured at top) was released on May 18, 2026, after posting $10,000 bond, according to the sheriff’s office.
The Bremer County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Butler County Sheriff’s Office, Janesville Police Department, Iowa State Patrol and Waverly Health Center.
Frisch is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
