ARS has opened up for new and more efficient payment solutions. The cellphones of today is virtually a terminal with key pad and a screen and thus it can replace the customer terminal which is common at ”Pay at the Pump” sites. Phone payment together with ARS means that the customer do not have to open the window and takes the already safe Drive Thru system to an optimal closed and safe process. Phone payment is the most cost effective method available.

NIT – Lazy Americans, things just keep getting easier for you.

Europeans – who are much less fat than Americans – are preying on the slothful lifestyles of Americans, with a new invention: drive-through vehicle fueling.

Would the concept work?

Why wouldn’t it. Americans would likely be very receptive to the idea of driving up to the pump and not having to get out of the car. Americans, for years, have been able to get their food, their booze, their drugs, at a drive-through. Why not add gasoline to that list?

Recently, Husky Corporation and Fuelmatics AB (from Sweden) collaborated on the next generation technology that makes drive-through vehicle fueling possible. The system was unveiled at the 2013 PEI Convention at the NACS in Atlanta where petroleum industry, convenience store, and service station executives viewed live demonstrations.

The Swedish company’s re-fueling system is being tested in St. Louis and could be ready for use in a year or so. Certification from various industries will be some of the major obstacles to launching the system.

According to Fuelmatics:

Fuelmatics’ concept will increase the retail efficiency at the lowest possible price. Automatic Refueling is suitable for all types of stations:
– Unmanned Stations
– Service Stations
– Hyper Market Stations
In addition to offering consumers a fast, convenient, clean and safe fill up, the ARS equipped station is in a position to generate new revenues based on commercials on a customer screen to a captive audience during fill up.
