MASON CITY – The NIACC men’s basketball team has signed six players in its 2019-20 recruiting class.
The Trojans signed Jay Gilson, a forward/post from Indianola, Miss., Jaden Horton, a guard from Lincoln, Neb., McKelary Robertson, a guard from Woodbury, Minn., Payton Breedlove, a forward from Blanchard, Okla., Marshaun Carroll, a guard from Dubuque, Iowa, and Anthony McDade, a guard from Logan, Utah.
The NIACC men were 25-5 in the 2018-19 season and advanced to the NJCAA Region XI title game before falling to eventual national champion Kirkwood.
The Trojans return six players from last year’s squad (Deundra Roberson, Quentin Hardrict, James Harris, Wendell Matthews, Chandler Dean and Trey Sampson).
