RURAL CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Mason City woman died in a one-vehicle crash Tuesday morning southwest of Mason City.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, the crash took place Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at about 7 AM. A 2012 Nissan driven by 54-year-old Pamela Marie Okerstrom of Mason City was eastbound on 210th Street west of Thrush Avenue. For unknown reasons, the vehicle left the roadway, entered the south ditch and vaulted a field driveway and became airborne. The vehicle landed and rolled, ejecting the driver.
Pamela Marie Okerstrom was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Assisting the Iowa State Patrol were Cero Gordo County Sheriff’s Office and Mason City Fire and EMS.
