CERRO GORDO COUNTY – A Ventura man is accused of his second drunk driving offense.
A Cerro Gordo county deputy stopped a speeding vehicle Wednesday, January 10 at about 8:28 PM near Balsam Avenue and 310th Street. After an investigation, the driver, 34-year-old Abel Jonah Rea of Ventura was arrested for speeding (6-10 mph over the limit) and second-offense operating while intoxicated. A passenger was cited for open container.
Rea was taken to the county jail and soon released, pending a court date set for later this month. He was last caught drunk driving in Allamakee county back in 2007.
