MASON CITY – A Mason City man allegedly got violent Saturday night at a North End residence, leading to his arrest.
On December 31, 2016 at about 6:50 PM, Mason City Police were dispatched to the 1400 block of North Federal on a report of a possible Violation of a No Contact Order. Officers determined that a violation had occurred after a male identified as Montez Guise, age 25 of Mason City, kicked in the door to the residence and then kept the victim from getting to the door for help.
Guise was arrested and charged with 2nd degree burglary, Violation of a No Contact Order, and False Imprisonment. Guise was also arrested on three outstanding arrest warrants for, Violation of Pretrial Release reference Serious Domestic Assault, Violation of a No Contact Order, and Obstructing Emergency Communications. Guise was held at the Cerro Gordo County Jail.
Mason City Police were assisted by Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office.
