ROCKWELL — James Donald “Jim” Turner, 86, of Rockwell, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2026, at University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City.
Jim’s passing is mourned by family, friends and others whose lives crossed his during his many years in North Iowa. His life was connected to Rockwell, where loved ones will remember the stories, everyday moments and relationships that shaped his years.
His death marks the loss of another longtime member of the Rockwell-area community. Those closest to Jim will carry forward memories of his presence, his family ties and the personal connections that made his life meaningful.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 to 8:00 PM Sunday, July 12, 2026, at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 502 Second St. S. in Rockwell.
Visitation will continue at the church the day of the service.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 AM Monday, July 13, 2026, at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Rockwell.
