CHARLES CITY – A death threat was investigated by Charles City police, leading to a search warrant and the discovery of a firearm and drug-related items.
The incident took place March 18 at about 6:48 AM. Charles City police responded to a report of “someone threatening to kill someone” with a gun. Officers and Floyd county deputies responded to the 2100 block of Clark Street. Further information led them to the 500 block of Clinton Street, where they converged on an apartment there.
After an investigation, 27-year-old Anthony Jackson Pace was arrested and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
In addition, a search warrant was applied for at that location. Police report that items seized included a firearm and drug-related items. Other charges are pending. The Department of Human Services was contacted regarding the case.
