9-mm-gun-01WASHINGTON, D.C. – A day after two New York City police officers were murdered in an ambush, President Obama condemned the killings.

“I unconditionally condemn today’s murder of two police officers in New York City,” the President said in a statement. “Two brave men won’t be going home to their loved ones tonight, and for that, there is no justification. The officers who serve and protect our communities risk their own safety for ours every single day—and they deserve our respect and gratitude every single day. Tonight, I ask people to reject violence and words that harm, and turn to words that heal—prayer, patient dialogue, and sympathy for the friends and family of the fallen.”

Are you getting va comp maybe? Thanks for your service. The only people who have the right to talk about the military are those who actually served in it. I am a disabiled veteran from desert shield/storm. I was in the army but I was only a diesel mech.

If that’s the case then please gather up all your military buddies, take all your military hardware, and permanently go move to the middle east. If citizens cannot discuss your activities, you’re no longer welcome in this land.

Or matt could create a military only forum and you have to be a registered veteran to post on there but anyone can read comments. That would upset our little philly to no end.

I think Matt should do a lot of things. Military section is a good idea. Registered veterans could have an emblem by their name. I’m all about good design, creativity, and freedom. You all have me pegged incorrectly. I’d be the coolest LT. you could possibly ask for. I think the public should learn more about life in the military. I think it’s high time Matt put a little of that ‘web expertise’ into designing this site a bit better. Give the people what they want. Erase Boredom.

btw…#Maybe: A Las Vegas cop who resembled Chris Christie just waddled into Starbucks, b-lined to the men’s bathroom, and then b-lined out the door after 20 minutes. Then I noticed a “DO NOT USE MEN’S RESTROOM” sign had been placed on the door. He plugged up the porcelain

If all who criticize law enforcement, could walk in their shoes for a year, in the most violent corrupt city in the US, maybe their opinion would be different. But there are some people that have everything, and they’re still not happy.

For those who don’t “get it”, I allege the government’s (and religion’s) faulty condemnation of wide swaths of human beings is permanently debilitating the psyche’s and legal and political lives of citizens, all because corporate, elitist, special interests believe in Darwin.

The balance of power is already upset. There are far more law breakers/criminals walking the streets then there are police. That’s what makes a law enforcement officers job so hard. If we lived in Mayberry, and the only law enforcement was Sheriff Taylor and Barney, life would be good. Unfortunately it’s not that way. If the good, (by what standard) could dicipline the bad, with swift on the spot justice, then maybe there would be a balance. Continued….

Why I’m not buying into your crocodile tear soliloquy is because police present themselves as elitist snubs. There are plenty of citizens who would gladly join their forces on both a paid, and volunteer level, but they are denied. Then the police act like they are so understaffed, and so damn vulnerable. That’s a crock of horseshit. They want their ranks exactly as they are. A special kind of “soldier” is who they are looking for…not servants of the peace nor the public.

if someone doesn’t have the right mentality for the job, like they would rather use their position to bully others then they are not accepted. Most police departments require a criminal justice degree to get the job. Some do slip through the cracks or they start out right but the power gets to them. You do NOT have the right mentality for the job, plus the military so thats why you were passed up.

That’s not true. First of all the military doesn’t comprise of any ‘one set mentality’. As much as the top brass would like to be in possession of an army of drones, not all of them have the killer instinct, or the desire to kill anyone. Most are in support and clerical positions. And I was passed up because the enlistment criteria at the time forbid anyone with a drug conviction on their record. Once Iraq hit, they offered waivers, and many East LA gangbangers joined up.

Humans can think for themselves which is what Asymetrical wafare has learned and is currently all about. Navy Seals are encouraged to use their imaginations and ingenuity to get the job done. The notion that everyone needs to be an obedient brainless turd such as yourself isn’t what the future of soldiering will be about. What you want is for humans to be passionate about the job they are doing, and to do it competently and with the greatest chance for success. Win over the minds

Racism abounds, drug dealing is present, and stories of female soldiers “blowing” guys at basecamp. A real bunch of winners, masquerading as “heroes”. These same “heroes” get to drive drunk whenever they want and get all sorts of perks and privileges passed among themselves and law enforcement agencies whom hire many of them.

If my mentality doesn’t fit in with the military it’s because the military is doing corrupt and ignorant things. The idea of DEFENSE of honorable people and public safety is an idea I’m acutely attenuated to. The idea of making a mess of regions for money purposes or to be a bully strongman doesn’t mesh well

This entire corporate metric is built on the idea of elitist snobbery. It preys on people’s insecurities, and conditions them to just accept the work and entertainment of others “more beautiful, talented, and capable than themselves”. This deference to Hollywood Disney magic strips the common citizen from any sense of empowerment or participation. Someone else is taking care of the situation. Well who are the someone else’s? My original statement stands: that if the police are not there to serve the people, they shouldn’t be working as cops, and that if the balance of power is upset, psychos like this one will come out of the woodwork to right the wrongs. Life has a way of balancing itself out, one way or the other, and so the police across America need to correct and humble themselves and stop abusing citizens with excessive deadly force. More psychos will answer the call if they don’t.

Because I’m asking for accountability and for police not to behave like pack animals you’re insinuating that I somehow don’t deserve to be helped in time of crisis? Only a schmuck pack rat dog like yourself would say such a thing. Eliminate the gang mentality…that’s my point entirely.

As I’ve pointed out in previous posts…there is a BALANCE that must be maintained. If the police upset / tip that balance by their actions, it will only tip back against them. The police need to reflect on their behavior. They are servants of the people, and any police officer who puts on the uniform or takes the job needs to understand that point at all times. If they are not there to serve the people they need to be removed from the force, or never join in the first place.

With the militarization of the police and the pornography of programs like COPS, LOCKUP RAW, COUNTY JAIL, and all the other programs which promote high strung, adrenaline infused cocky cops on steroids, strutting around with their leather gloves and tight ballsacks, America has been steadily been brainwashed and conditioned to accept these jackasses as the new gestapo norm. Finally it has crested, and now the people are fighting back, and the Cops will invariably pay for arrogance

I seem to remember a time not to long ago when you aspired to be a deputy sheriff. That would have been right after you knew you couldn’t make it being a lion tamer, circus clown, tire hut builder, banjo builder, grocery store bouncer, city councilman, web site entrepreneur, butcher, baker, candlestick maker, paper boy, sword swallower or cowboy.

How do you go about determining a police officer has a “tight ballsack”, care to explain?

Buzz this isn’t my world. Mine is somewhere else. My one true teacher Siddhartha Guatama aka the Buddha warned me as such…that this world is nothing but suffering, and to turn some souls away from this transient fleeting world, a whole lotta suffering is heaped on them, including injustice, unfairness, inopportunity, and disappointment. Even the Disney people in their fairy tale splendor eventually will one day wither away, decay, and perish.

You wanna give me a 10-9 on that Tommy Boy? Again, you aren’t making any sense.

Rumor has it you are no longer a manny either. Did that “job” turn to mud too?

What’s ridiculous about cop cheerleaders like Laura Ingraham and others who say Mayor Bill Diblasio is “turning his back on police” is they operate with a pack mentality, defending members of their police pack with unwavering loyalty. That’s okay for East LA gang members but that is NOT how government authorities need to be operating. We as citizens have the right to review the actions of police, military and anyone in positions of authority. Checks and balances depends on it.

Where is the accountability and the checks and balances for all the businesses destroyed and the lives of innocent small business people ruined? Where is that accountability? If they were accountable they would have to pay for all the damage they have done. Just like if you were accountable for your big mouth your mother would have pinched your head off.

If the New York City Police didn’t behave like such pack animals in the first place, they probably wouldn’t be in this predicament regarding public opinion-and targeted assassinations. The US vs. Them mentality was started by the police, not the public. The “thin blue line”, “band of brothers” and all the other horseshit descriptors work against them. They waged a war against the public by their militarization and wet dream affinity for unchecked authoritarianism.
