ARLINGTON – A rural Iowa teen who allegedly scrawled a bomb threat at a high school has been arrested and charged with a felony.
On December 10, 2014, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office received a call from Starmont High School at 10:00 AM that they had found a hand written message of a bomb threat. Fayette County Sheriff Deputies including Fayette County Sheriff’s Fire investigator and Fayette County Sheriff EMA responded to the school. Upon arrival, it was shortly discovered that the threat was not credible. Further investigation resulted in the arrest of Logan James Druecker, age 16 of Rural Arlington, on the charge of Threats which is defined as any person who threatens to place or attempts to place any incendiary or explosive device or material, or any destructive substance or device in any place where it will endanger persons or property. The charge is a Class D Felony.
Druecker was transported to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office and later released to a guardian. Druecker will be referred to juvenile authorities on the charge. No incendiary or explosive device was found and No injuries reported.
