Waterloo teen charged with victimizing three businesses

WATERLOO – A Waterloo teen has been jailed and named a suspect in three crimes, including two robberies and a burglary.

On Tuesday, December 9, 2014 the Waterloo Police Department arrested Michael Anthony Bauer, age 17, on charges that were filed in District Court for two counts of Robbery 1st Degree and one count of Burglary 3rd Degree.

Through follow up investigation it was determined that Bauer had committed the armed robbery at the Metro Laundry, 914 West 5th Street, on October 30, 2014 and the armed robbery to the Casey’s General Store, 1604 LaPorte Road, on November 11, 2014.

Bauer was also charged with one count of Burglary 3rd Degree to the Hornbill Asian Market, 920 W. 5th Street that occurred on October 26, 2014.

Bauer is being held on $200,000 bond in the Black Hawk County Jail.
