WINFIELD, IOWA – A Northern Iowa woman’s Dodge Ram pickup truck left the road and burst into flames in a tragic, lethal auto accident.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident took place on Saturday, February 8, 2024. At about 12:40 AM that morning on Iowa highway 78 near Winfield, Iowa, 50-year-old Michelle Moore of Winfield was traveling eastbound in her 2015 Dodge Ram pickup. The vehicle left the roadway, came to rest, and burst into flames. After authorities arrived on the scene, Moore was pronounced deceased immediately. Her remains were taken to the Henry county medical examiner’s office. The pickup was towed away by Breuer’s Towing.
The Iowa State Patrol was assisted by the Henry county sheriff’s office, Winfield fire department, and others.
