MASON CITY – Police in Mason City are investigating after a billboard seeking clues in the disappearance of news anchor Jodi Huisentruit was vandalized this week.
The billboard is located on North Federal Avenue. It appears the vandalism occurred on New Year’s Eve. Mason City Chief of Police Jeff Brinkley tells NIT, “One of our officers on patrol found the vandalism to the billboard at 13th Street and N Federal Avenue just after midnight on January 1, 2020. Officers did recover a ladder at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.”
Chief Brinkley asked “that anyone with information about the vandalism to call the Mason City Police Department.”
The billboard was posted by the organization Find Jodi. They said today via social media, “One of our Find Jodi billboards has been vandalized in Mason City, Iowa. We’ve reached out to various agencies as well as the sign company (who will be taking it down). We’re discussing options for a replacement – if at all. If you have a lead, send it to us or the authorities. Vandalizing our billboards is only going to get it taken down and not help our cause.”
The billboard appears to have been spray painted by a vandal suspicious of a former Mason City police officer. There have been many conspiracy theories and rumors regarding the tragic disappearance of Jodi Huisentruit. Chief Brinkley told NIT Thursday that there are no new developments in the case.
PLEASE do JUSTICE to this case! Jodi’s family needs closure before anyone else in the family passes away. Who ever this is you’ve had 25 years to continue with your life and left the Huisentruit family wondering/crying/hoping life’s shattered for 25 years. It is WAY BEYOND time to put closer. Please investigate the machine shed. Who cares if Frank did not live there at the time-someone is leaving a CLUE. With Frank being so hasty at wanting to file charges for his name being sprayed painted it does kind of make him look guilty. Frank was your palm print taken to see if your a match?? There have been enough victims in this case, I think I recall 2 or 3 who have been murdered (who must have known something/figured something out).
Was Stearns on the rape crew with Mason and Prohaska? I remember his name coming up for something when those cops were breaking into girls houses and raping them when they came home. Sounds like he was a bit dirty.
Weren’t those the gals they’d sale the drugs to? Can’t convict cops who hold evidence over their heads….. who ya gonna believe a cop or a junkie party girl? Was it their perfect sick scam? Does the cop drug business still go deep in mason city? Why we got known drug dealers for 40+ years still running the drug street’s? Isn’t the Barrientes family years deep and only minor charges with little to nil jail time for anything? Cahoots with the cops? Why? Actions speak volumes.. or should say no action on them does that speak volumes? So many questions for many who’ve lived here and watched it????

When Stearns was a beat cop he used to shake me down when I was pubbing near Lorados and the SOB kept my dope for himself. I was never arrested.
Stearns had the M.O. as well as the ability to orchestrate a cover up. Look into him MCPD if you honor your oath.

I’m disappointed that the police chief isn’t doing anything with this. When he came on board he seemed like he would keep the investigation going. Some of our current and past police force are dirty. I have felt for years that this wasn’t investigated properly, and wasn’t Frank Stearns a big part of those doing the investigating. Nothing will become of it, sadly.

Years back “Sterns, Price, & Andersons names came up as local Mason City Police selling dope. Of course that all got swept under the rug.

Drew Peterson was not a Chicago officer, he was a retired Sgt with the Bolingbrook PD, now serving 78 years in prison.

Maybe the police need to follow the tip. It was probably put there because they had been ignored.
I wondered about that too. It’s a sure bet there are people walking among us that know what happened to that poor girl.
