CHATTANOOGA, TN – Tom Zirbel, formerly of Clear Lake, Iowa, won a national time-trial title Saturday at the USA Cycling Pro Championships, ESPN reported.
Zirbel edged Brent Bookwalter by 17 seconds over the 19-mile course completing it in 38 minutes and 16 seconds.
Zirbel races for OPTUM PRO CYCLING.
A road race will be held Monday.
