JEWEL, IOWA – A rural Iowa teen was injured Tuesday morning after his pickup truck rolled in a one-vehicle accident.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, at about 8:10 AM Tuesday morning, 17-year-old Caleb Olson was traveling northbound in a 2000 Ford Ranger on Nelson Avenue near Jewel, Iowa, when he approached 380th Street and failed to stop at the stop sign. Olson then attempted to make a right hand turn and failed to maintain control of his vehicle, rolling into the ditch in the northeast corner of the intersection.
Olson was taken to Mary Greeley Hospital in Ames.
Charges are pending at this time.
