Joni Ernst (R) has been re-elected.

DES MOINES – Iowans sent a message at the ballot box in the 2020 election as results show a red wave has carried Joni Ernst to re-election in the Senate and two House seats appeared to flip to Republicans.

In the most-watched and expensive race for U.S. Senate, Joni Ernst won re-election to a second term over Theresa Greenfield.  Votes are still being tabulated, but Ernst leads by over 100,000 votes.

“Folks, it’s been a long night and unfortunately we came up short,” Greenfield said in conceding the election.  “I couldn’t be more proud of the work we all put in. This race was never about me — it’s about creating a future that works for all Iowans. And that fight doesn’t stop tonight. Thank you.”

Ernst released a statement, saying, “We did it! To everyone who has done so much for the campaign, thank you. Tonight’s victory wouldn’t be possible without your efforts. I’m honored by the opportunity to serve Iowa for another 6 years, and I’m excited to keep fighting for you!”

NIT earlier reported that Randy Feenstra in District 4 of U.S. House of Representatives (NW Iowa) won a landslide victory over J.D. Scholten; votes continue to pour in as Feenstra leads by over 80,000 votes.

In District 1, two former TV news anchors battled it out and incumbent Democrat Abby Finkenhour has been ousted by Republican Ashley Hinson, 211,573-200,814, unofficially.

“I am honored to be the Congresswoman elect for Iowa’s first district!” Hinson said.  “In Congress I will always remember that the hard working taxpayers are the folks that elected me, and they are my bosses.”

Finkenhour had not yet conceded the race as of Wednesday morning, but the Associated press has called the race for Hinson.

Another blue seat appears to have flipped red in Iowa, as District 2 voters have given Republican Mariannette Miller-Meeks a 282 vote lead over Democrat Rita Hart.  No official call has been made in that particular race in a seat being vacated by Dave Loebsack.

District 3 in SW Iowa showed Cindy Axne hold on to defeat narrowly David Young for a second time.  Young, who previously held the seat before Axne won in 2018, is a favorite of President Donald Trump.

If these results hold, Iowa’s entire 6-person delegation to Congress, except District 3 with Axne, would be Republicans.

If people don’t like the way the voting turned out, move to another state (or country). Just, please, stop your whining.

Pelosi’s tactics carried the day. Fat stimulus money coming! Clean up this wretched pandemic first. Then start afresh next summer. Oh, and wipe out those crooked student loans debts too. Frontline workers fat checks also. If it surges to full lockdown this winter then show me the money! 2 checks

At least we are doing our part. Keep that in your mind as you are being raped of your freedoms and taxed into prosperity by the democrats.

All the while, phoney Joni will be building her slush fund with payments from big pharma and big oil.

You mean President Biden, don’t you?

Way to go
