Hey rude you mean low moral fiber like someone trying to eliminate the public forum or trying to ram the trash plant down our throats. Respect is earned so this looser gets none.

All these comments are immature and cruel. All it does is show that the people posting on these story are of low moral fiber and guarantee they won’t vote next year but will complain afterwards.
Matt – I’m surprised you allow these comments. Some stories you remind people to keep the comments clean and not personal, why does that not apply here?
I pulled a couple comments down that were over the top. Otherwise, I have no problem with any of it. Politicians have no bosses here in Mason City; I have that from City Hall itself. As far as I am concerned, the people can say darn near anything they want about the untouchable mayor and council, state and county elected officials and national figures as well. It is part of the American fabric to criticize and poke fun at elected officials or any public figure. Watch any cable news show and see for yourself. Some comments are rude, but that’s how people feel.
Thank you for response, Matt. I understand part of what you are saying. But, I say that we as a community shouldn’t reach for a low standard just because national media slings mud and are nasty. I for one and hundreds of others I talk to don’t perfer our local politics to be personal and nasty and they and I vote accordingly, it lowers moral and the quality of people who will run for office in the future, and we have so many great people in MC. We should set an example that we are above that in MC, that is the point I was trying to make. Thanks Matt.
Reading the way some of the residents of Mason City talk trash, racism, and make rude personal comments on this website would be enough to keep any potential business from locating here. Who would want a workforce with the attitudes expressed here? Too many people are just plain nasty. Who would want you for neighbors?

Amanda Ragan does NOT volunteer. She is paid Cerro Gordo County benefits and a generous salary for her job at Community Kitchen. This is in addition to her state benefits and salary for the Senate.
Those “rolls” belong to Bookmeyer and I think they are called table tits or gynecomastia.

It’s great that Mason City has become a Blue Zones community, maybe the mayor should lead by example.

Why didnt he wear a shirt that said ‘I am the mayor of Mason CIty” for real who would even know who he is. People were probly confused. Looks like just another middle aged beer drinker who stumbled out of the crowd to walk in the parade.

Then the rumor is true. Bookmaker is going to run against Amanda Regan in the next election cycle. That should be fun.
That would be a good race. A staunch right-wing country club golfer who generally despises the very people he represents versus a left-winger who volunteers in a soup kitchen. Let the people decide.
Only when she’s here in mason. When she’s at her greek villa she rides a golden chariot pulled by slaves. “Bring me more tea and strumpets!” she declares.
What’s really incredible is people with so little talant and so little to offer society have so much. And they call themselfs leaders. That’s almost as embarrassing as the crime wave they are ignoring. Didnt that mrs Marinoe skip an importnat meeting to drink booze once? I read that on this site.
He’s saying hey you over there throw me a twinkey.
no hes not….hes ordering a bud light tall boy from Sevens.
So who’s the Dbag with the $300k Rolls Royce?
Betcha he does’t get his beer on the N end in Mason City.

They all belong to the mayor. I just saw him at wayne’s today. I think he was buying a treadmill.

Wrong, wrong, wrong.
They are both left wing loons who don’t give a twit about the people they serve.
Food or otherwise! They are both big spending socialists that worship Agenda 21.
Will someone please buy that guy a bra?

Better get one, or quit wearing BanLon. Only Cosmo could think of something like that.
OMFG. That’s all I can say. OMFG.
Why don’t you keep that kinda crap to yourself, the rest of us are too intelligent to see your moronic opinion on anything!
Is that Marinos’s car in the background?
Marinos drives a 20 year old BMW that her husband bought used.
Only when she’s here in mason. When she’s at her greek villa she rides a golden chariot pulled by slaves. “Bring me more tea and strumpets!” she declares.
WRONG!!! I just saw her ar Menards driving her Brand New $50,000+ Nissan Murano 4×4 Convertible! She should donate her councilman check to charity!!!
