The 20th annual Ankeny Summerfest Heritage Park Disc Golf Tournament will be held July 14th & 15th during Ankeny Summerfest activities. This is a Professional Disc Golf Association (PDGA) sanctioned C- tier nationwide event.
This tournament is for recreational and the more advanced men and women disc golfers.
Saturday, July 14th, the tournament will begin at 9:30 a.m. with registration starting at 7:30 a.m. for Open and Advanced. Two rounds of 18.
Sunday July 15th Intermediate players (men and women) are those who have been playing for a while but have not played many tournaments. The Intermediate Division will play two rounds of 18 holes, with a lunch break between rounds. Recreational will play one round of 18 holes. There will be a recreational or novice category of both men and women. Registration will start at 7:30.
Open (pro) and Advanced Players will play on Saturday with a Tee time of 9:30.
Every paid entrant will receive a special hot-stamped golf disc. Prizes and trophies through 3rd place for Sunday’s Intermediate and Novice players. Trophies and prize’s for Saturday’s Advanced players through 3rd place. Open will have pay outs. There will prizes for closest to the pin in all divisions.
Heritage Park is located at the corner of East First and Frisk streets in Ankeny . The park is about ½ mile east of I-35 off exit 92 ( First Street ).
Fees for this tournament are as follows: Novice/Recreations $20, Intermediate division will be $25. Registration fees are $33 for Advanced and $38 for Open (pro). Because this is a PDGA sanctioned event, there is an additional $10 fee for those participants that are not PDGA members. For members of the PDGA, the fee is included in the registration. Novice/Recreational are not required to pay the fee.
Early registration is encouraged because there is a limit of 90 participants in the PDGA events. (Intermediate, Advanced and Open divisions).
