SHELL ROCK, IOWA – An auto accident Saturday claimed the life of a Nashua woman and injured several others.
According to a report, a vehicle driven by 49 year-old Sharon White was westbound on Highway 3 just west of Shell Rock at about 10:10 PM Saturday night when it crossed the center line on the highway and struck head-on a vehicle with three teenagers inside.
White was declared dead at the scene. The three teenagers, Dustin Wellman, 17, of Waverly (the driver); Adrian McMullen, 17, of Clarksville; and Autmn Detweiler, 14, of Allison, were all taken to a Waverly hospital with injuries. There was no word on their conditions.
The accident remains under investigation.
