MASON CITY – A man with addresses in New Jersey and Texas was arrested after an altercation early Wednesday morning in downtown Mason City.
Ernest Gary Price Jr. (pictured below), 42, of Frisco, Texas and Paulsboro, New Jersey, was arrested for domestic assault (702.2A(2B)) at the corner of South Federal Avenue and 6th Street at about 1 AM Wednesday.

A female was involved, showing two addresses in New Jersey.
Three Mason City police officers responded to the scene. It was said the couple had been staying in a nearby hotel and had also visited a nearby watering hole Tuesday night.
A person who observed the situation told NIT “The man in the photo is indeed as you may have heard, an out of towner working in Mason City. The woman is his wife. They had been drinking at a bar close to where they were questioned. You could hear the pair going at it for blocks away, litterally. It continued for the better part of an hour. It should be noted that (the victim) was the reason for police responding to a call of a public disturbance a day earlier. Four officers showed up and gave her a warning. As of (Wednesday) morning, (the victim) was put on a bus heading back to New Jersey, by parties unknown.”
Price posted $1000.00 bond Thursday and was released from jail. A no contact order with the victim was issued against Price.
