Firefighters respond to house fire

MASON CITY – A house fire on the city’s southeast side was reported Friday evening.

Mason City firefighters responded to 804 13th Street SE at about 6:00 PM. A caller to emergency 911 reported smoke and flames coming out of the house. The property owner is Matt Dodge.

There wasn’t an immediate word on the amount of damage.
