MASON CITY – NorthIowaToday.com has learned that a Mason City man has his prized Harley Davidson back.
Thursday, NIT was contacted by a Mason City family about their stolen 2007 Harley Davidson, which had apparently been stolen the previous day. We immediately reported on the theft of the bike and alerted the public to be on the lookout and contact police about any information on the incident.
Late Friday, Jaylin Anderson told NIT the bike is found and back with its owner, her husband Scott.
“Matt, I wanted to email you and let you know that we got our bike back this evening. Scott gave out the $1,000 reward for the safe return of our bike. Scott is still working with the police as I write this. I don’t have a lot of details yet but wanted to say thank you! I really think the article really helped spread the word so that we could get our bike back. We are very happy and relieved.”
NIT hopes to report if any arrests are made in this incident.
Glad Scott got his bike back, can’t wait to find out who stole it. Good job NIT putting the info out there. There still are some honest people, wish it was me getting that $1000.00
Did they find it’s muffler too or is that still missing?
hilarious…and true!
Good start. Now catch the thieves.
Nail the scum that made off with it!
