SPILLVILLE — Lorna Ann Neuzil, 61, of Spillville, died Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Hillcrest Home in Sumner following a short battle with cancer and complications from a stroke.
Neuzil was born May 2, 1965, and had longtime family ties to the Spillville and greater Northeast Iowa area.
According to her obituary, Neuzil faced serious health challenges near the end of her life before passing away at Hillcrest Home.
She was a daughter of Cyril and Rebecca Neuzil and grew up as part of a family with deep roots in the Spillville area. Her father, Cyril, farmed near Spillville for many years, and the family’s ties to the area stretched back multiple generations.
Lorna was one of five children in the Neuzil family, with siblings Catherine Dietzenbach, Susan Schmitt, Steve Neuzil and Craig Neuzil.
Family and friends will gather to remember Neuzil during a memorial visitation.
Hindt-Hudek Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
