NORTHWOOD — The Worth County Board of Supervisors approved more than $921,000 in county claims, signed off on several sheriff’s office pay raises and accepted financial reports during its regular meeting on Monday, July 13, 2026.
Board Chairman Enos Loberg called the meeting to order with supervisors Mark Smeby and A.J. Stone present. The board unanimously approved the meeting agenda and minutes from its July 6 meeting.
Supervisors then approved county claims totaling $921,718.80.
Among the largest expenditures were:
- Don’s Truck Sales — $328,810.00 for county engineer equipment.
- ICAP — $266,276.00 for insurance services.
- Tyler Technologies — $52,745.21 for data processing services.
- Schneider Geospatial — $29,351.40 for data processing services.
- Veenstra & Kimm — $26,567.28 for capital project engineering.
- S&H Environmental Services — $20,820.85 for water and wastewater services.
- AgVantage FS — $17,343.50 for fuel.
- Worth County Emergency Management — $24,153.00 quarterly payment.
- Worth County Engineer — $9,566.16 for sheriff’s office fuel.
- IMWCA — $10,342.00 for workers’ compensation insurance.
The board also approved the clerk of court’s monthly report and the recorder’s quarterly report.
At the request of the Worth County Sheriff’s Office, supervisors approved four employee salary adjustments:
- Rick Anderson: $32.49 per hour effective Aug. 25, 2026.
- Teri Dorsey: $33.61 per hour effective July 14, 2026.
- Carol Mens: $22.18 per hour effective July 15, 2026.
- John Smith: $91,045.20 annually effective June 15, 2026.
Following the completion of business, the board adjourned at 9:02 a.m.
