MASON CITY – A Mason City man awaiting trial for domestic assault was found guilty Tuesday morning of violating the pre-trial no contact order.

Judge Ron Wagenaar sentenced Bryon Michael Sletten, 46, to 7 days in jail for the violation, which occurred on January 1st.

According to a witness, Sletten “became so irate and belligerent  in courtroom” that the victim “had to be escorted out by two sheriff’s deputies.”
Sletten has so far only been charged with an aggravated misdemeanor despite reports that the victim sustained significant bodily injury that required a trip the Mercy Hospital emergency room.  In Iowa, domestic assault resulting in bodily injury can be charged as a felony.
Sletten faces trial in the domestic assault case on February 15th.

Exactly! Check the 911 call records! How many calls were made in reference to his violent outbursts? Many! How many calls were made by the family prior to him moving into this address? Zero!

these people are cop callers…the mom,the daughter, and the brother…they love to make scenes. check the 911 call records…alot of needless drama.. i do not condone violence but just saying to bad others get drawn into their hype…

Hype?! He sent her to the hospital! Probably not the 1st time. Maybe there’
s a reason for all the calls. HE’S GUILTY of being an a-hole. Victim should give him a huge boot in the ASS right out the door.
