MASON CITY – NIACC’s John Pappajohn Entrepreneurial Center (JPEC) had renamed its signature course for helping aspiring small business owners get off the ground.
“FasTrac,” as the program was previously known, has become “Launch & Grow Your Business.”
“Launch & Grow Your Business” assists the start-up and current entrepreneur in developing a business concept and evaluating it through each step of the business planning process, according to JPEC.
Entrepreneurism (starting your own business) has become more and more popular as well-paying jobs have become more scarce in recent years.
JPEC says registration for the courses is now open to the public, and classes start September 13th, running for 10 weeks on Thursday nights from 6 PM to 9:30 PM.
The tuition is $199.
“Participants must have a specific business concept they would like to pursue,” a JPEC newsletter said. “This course is designed to teach participants how to research, develop, and write detailed business plans, which can be used to create successful businesses.”
Anyone interested can call 641-422-4358 to register.
