MASON CITY – A Kensett man was injured in a rural Mason City auto accident.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, the accident occurred Monday, October 18, 2021. At about 6:04 AM that morning, a 2014 Ford F-150 driven by 44-year-old Michael Feancis Fox, Jr. of Kensett was southbound on California Avenue and approached Highway 122. Fox failed to yield at a stop sign at this intersection and was struck in the passenger side by a 2019 Feightliner truck driven by 41-year-old Joel Wayne Crum of Nora Springs.
As a result of the collision, both vehicles came to rest on the south shoulder of the highway. Fox was injured and taken by Mason City ambulance to Mercy One North Iowa.
