MASON CITY – A Mason City man was jailed for drunk driving this week.
Mark Edward Torres, age 41, was stopped by a Mason City police officer on the evening of September 1 near Carolina Avenue and 8th Street NE. After an investigation by the officer, Torres was shown to have a suspended driver’s license and could not show proof of insurance. In addition, the officer found Torres to be intoxicated and placed him under arrest.
Torres was jailed and later released as he awaits a September 18 court date.
