MASON CITY – A Mason City man previously arrested for drunk driving has pleaded guilty and is now serving jail time.
Paul Curtis Hillestad, age 66, pleaded guilty this week to first offense operating while intoxicated. He was stopped by police after midnight on April 25. Police determined Hillestad was under the influence of an intoxicating substance and placed him under arrest for operating while under the influence, first offense.
Hillestad was sentenced to seven days in jail and ordered to pay $1,837.50 in fines and fees.
