MASON CITY – A man with a long rap sheet who is awaiting trial in a Des Moines assault case found his way to a Mason City house Wednesday where police were called to intervene in a physical domestic incident.

The incident unfolded on at about 10:59 AM Wednesday morning, March 20, when Mason City police responded to a call for a physical domestic incident at 610 South Georgia Avenue.  Police investigated the incident and encountered 34-year-old Tariyon Dajour Robinson (pictured at top), currently released from the Polk county jail on bond and awaiting an April 10 trial in Des Moines for domestic abuse assault and obstruction of emergency communications. Robinson was arrested and taken to the Cerro Gordo county jail on charges of first-degree harassment and domestic abuse with strangulation, a felony in Iowa.

Robinson has been guilty in Iowa of felony forgery, felony theft, probation violations, felony drug possession, felon in possession of a gun, felony burglary, violation of parole, criminal mischief, domestic abuse assault, harassment and more.

The scene of this incident is a rental house owned by Cynthia and James Pike of Mason City. One of their rentals, 246 8th Street SE, was earlier reported by NIT to be associated with alleged Chicago crack dealers and an out of control woman.
