MASON CITY – A Mason City man who avoided a second offense drunk driving charge with a plea deal and was instead given probation has been accused of violating that probation and was jailed.
Parker John Watson, age 26, was arrested by Mason City police at his home at the 900 block of 9th Street SE on Friday, August 29 at about 11:00 AM. Watson was wanted on a warrant out of Hamilton county in connection with a guilty plea to first offense drunk driving, a charge he also plead guilty to in 2007. The warrant stemmed from a public intoxication arrest and guilty plea in June; he had been arrested by Mason City police in the downtown area on June 9.
Watson was taken to jail, booked and later released pending a future court date.
