GARNER – A Garner woman was convicted of felony burglary.
Abby Wellik, age 31 of Garner, stood charged with class D felony third degree burglary and class B first degree burglary. Garner police and the Hancock CountySheriff’s Office brought each charge, respectively.
After accepting a plea deal, Wellik was sentenced to serve up to five years in prison and pay $843.75, plus court costs. The prison sentence was suspended, and Wellik will be on probation for two years to the Department of Correctional Services. She was represented by Richard Piscopo.
In 2012, Wellik was placed on 2 years of probation for leaving her special needs child home alone.
