MCFD responded to small fire at LD’s Thursday

MASON CITY – Around 10:30 am, Thursday, the Mason City Fire Department responded to a call of a fire at LD’s Filling Station at 620 12th St. NE.

A witness outside the building said, “I was told it was a grease fire and a female employee had put it out before the Fire Department arrived.”

Mason City Police Department was at the scene to assist.

  1. Ah yes. LD’s where they once charged me for a glass of water with my meal. I haven’t been back since then either.

    1. If some owned an iPad, they would know all about the comas. IPad love to add comas everywhere they don’t belong. Then you have to go back and edit them out. There you learned something today. Some people don’t edit.

  2. A grease pit. Have you ever looked at the exhaust fan on the back side of the building? But the food is the best!

    1. You say that the food is the best, right after you complain about the, grease pit, and the fan on the back of the building, whats up with that. You sound like a great customer, who bites the hand that feeds you.
