OSAGE — Glendon Alvin Borchardt, an Osage man whose long life connected him to family, friends and loved ones across generations, died Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Faith Lutheran Home in Osage. He was 89.
Glendon was born August 21, 1936, the son of Alvin and Elizabeth Borchardt. Through nearly nine decades of life, he became part of many shared family memories and lasting relationships.
He is survived by his nieces, Jean Leraaen and Cindy Bidne and her husband, Kevin; his nephew-in-law, Jeff Snyder; his close friend, Lynette; John; three great-nephews; two great-nieces; extended family; and friends.
Glendon was preceded in death by his parents; his siblings, Delores Suby and her husband, Boyd, and Galen Borchardt; his sister-in-law, Melba; nieces Joan, Peggy and Rochelle; and his beloved pet, Gidget.
A visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m. Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Hogan Bremer Moore Colonial Chapel, 126 Third Street NE in Mason City. A funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at the chapel.
