Cerro Gordo Business Update from the NIACC Pappajohn Center & SBDC

Recently, 37 Cerro Gordo County businesses have received funds from the Iowa Small Business Relief Program, injecting over $1 million into the North Iowa economy. The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and the Economic Injury Disaster Loan (EIDL) are pending approval of additional funding. There are hundreds of rural Iowa businesses who have successfully applied for these programs, with over $4 million injected into our communities across the state via our local banks. If the PPP and EIDL programs reopen applications, the NIACC Pappajohn Center and SBDC recommends being prepared to apply.

Business owners with questions may call the North Iowa Small Business Help Line. Call (641) 422-4737 Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 4:00pm, or email at cares@niacc.edu. The Small Business Help Line has assisted over 170 local business owners since April 8, 2020.
