BOONE, IA – An elderly couple from Webster City was killed after a two-car accident Monday near Boone in Central Iowa.
Ronald Hooker, age 80, and Marie Hooker, age 76, both of Webster City died Monday, August 11, 2014 following an auto accident near Boone. According to a published obituary, the couple was married on November 20, 1958 in Lehigh.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Marie Hooker was driving a 2007 Chevy Impala south of T Avenue in Boone county on Monday at about 9:52 AM when, after stopping at a stop sign, she pulled out in front of a 2004 Jeep Liberty driven by 64-year-old Jane Ham of Boone.
A passenger in Hooker’s vehicle, 79-year-old Donna Porter of Duncombe, Iowa, was injured and flown from the accident scene to Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Ham, along with her passenger, 80-year-old Lyle Mattson of Boone, were transported to Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames by Boone County Ambulance.
