MASON CITY – A convicted domestic abuser who was wanted on a warrant for skipping a court hearing set because he failed to complete a batterer’s education program was nabbed by police Sunday evening.
According to records, a warrant for the arrest of Travis Benjamin Roberts, age 29, was set last week by a judge because Roberts never completed a court-ordered batterer’s education class.
Roberts waas convicted last year of two separate charges of domestic abuse causing bodily injury, from two incidents in 2012.
Roberts still owes the court $1,369.31 in fines and fees in one of the assault cases and $736.46 in the other.
Roberts is now being held on bonds of $1,000 each on both cases.
