HANCOCK COUNTY – A road has washed out southwest of Britt.
The following photos were sent by an NIT reader, who says the location is on 200th street west of Iowa Avenue in Hancock county. Overnight, 6 feet of road disappeared. The county was aware of this problem when the snow melted but it was never fixed.
The photos show Hancock county drainage mains that are close to 100 years old and very brittle.
