MASON CITY – Shortly before 5:00 pm Tuesday, a call was made to the Mason City Police Department informing them that there was a group of men on the ice on Spring Lake behind the Days Inn at 2301 4th Street SW.
The caller reported that it appeared that they were drinking and possibly may be staying at the Days Inn. The males were spotted on the northeast part of the lake and questioned about trespassing.
There were four males questioned; at least one was drinking a can of Bud Light. One man was seen going into the motel. A couple of the men were said to be from Texas and Arkansas.
The men were advised of the complaint and they left the area. No arrests were made.
