MASON CITY – River City Dames of Anarchy Women’s Roller Derby Coach Kip Ireland is a National Champion.
In October, Ireland, Mason City’s roller derby coach who also plays for an all men roller derby team in Des Moines, “Your Mom Men’s Roller Derby” took 1st place at the national MRDA (men’s roller derby association) tournament in St. Louis, Missouri.
Ireland, aka Lucky Charms, #65, has been skating for the men’s team for over a year and has brought many ideas and plays to the women’s team in Mason City.
River City Dames of Anarchy practice at Roller City in Mason City on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6-8pm. The Dames had their last bout of the season on October 27th.
