MASON CITY – As of Wednesday of last week, Cornovis Abrams Teasley, age 34, has been transported to the Iowa Medical & Classification Center at Oakdale State Prison in Coralville, Iowa to begin a prison sentence for sexual abuse.
At a sentencing hearing the previous day, October 30th, presiding District Court Judge Stephen P. Carroll sentenced Teasley to serve up to 10 years in prison for a Class C felony 3rd degree sexual abuse conviction.
Teasley had been found guilty of the sexual abuse of a minor following a jury trial in May of this year.
The incident happened on August 27th, 2011, but Teasley was not charged until February of 2012 following an investigation by Mason City Police Department.
In addition to the prison sentence, Teasley will be required to register as a sex offender for life upon his release from prison. Teasley will also be on parole under the supervision of the Iowa Department of Corrections for life.

This guy is NOT FROM Charles City. He might have a Charles City Address now but he is NO from there. They have the same problem there as we do in Mason City. These people come to Iowa because of our liberal welfare laws.
